Algarve Coastal Walk, Portugal ๐ต๐น
My first visit to mainland Portugal was nothing short of breathtaking, and I couldn't have chosen a more picturesque place to start my journey than the Algarve. I chose to hike a short section of the Algarve coastal walk that stretches around 100 KM between Faro and Portimao. Armed with my camera, I was ready to soak in the natural beauty and click some pictures.
As the sun started its gentle descent towards the horizon, I set off from Armacao de Pera, the village where I stayed. The coastline revealed itself to be a treasure trove of natural beauty, where rugged cliffs met the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. I was greeted with postcard-perfect views of the sea, its waves crashing against the cliffs, and the sun casting a warm and golden hue on everything it touched. The gentle breeze carried the salty scent of the ocean and made the experience even more refreshing.

As I ventured along the trail, I came across everything from crowded beaches and sea-side resorts to sea caves and secluded coves that were only accessible on foot, adding to the allure of the coastal walk.

I managed to cover only a distance of 10 kilometers, as the daylight began to wane, I knew it was time to head back. It was a bittersweet moment, knowing that there was so much more to explore along this enchanting coastal path. My hike along the Algarve coast was a memorable experience, filled with awe-inspiring views. The sunset added an extra layer of enchantment to this picturesque landscape, making it an unforgettable adventure.
Thatโs all I captured while hiking but below are some more of the pictures of the coastline from a different point of view. I took these from a boat during a tour we did the day before during the day.
